About the event
Les Sampou got her start in the Boston folk scene busking on the street at Harvard Square and in underground MBTA stations. Since then she's moved onto national acclaim having recorded some 7 albums and playing such great places as the Montreal Jazz Festival, Falcon Ridge and South by Southwest.
A chameleon-like songwriter and a vocalist of many styles with a 3 1/2 octave range, her original songs range from Blues to Rock to Folk, many of which have been featured in sound tracks for film and TV (check out her eerie song The Kill from the soundtrack of Satanic). She and the immensely talented musicians who make up the Dirty Martinis quartet also cover works by a wide range of artists: Gershwin, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Traffic, Lana Del Rey and Steely Dan. You’re in store for a truly inspiring night of music.
